Just because you sold short it does not mean current investors in Air Canada should sell anything, and certainly not short.

You need to accept the fact that if the market should opt to move the Shareprice in one direction or another then it's simply going to move it.  Your job, if you should choose to accept it, is to try and not make a trade you will later regret.

Partial trades using a Dollar Cost Averaging Strategy is something I would suggest researching.  It may not be sexy and exciting but (over time) it tends to out-perform day-trading with a whole lot less hassel.

If you can't afford to buy back your short position then you can't afford to be a margin player. Keep the risk (money in play) at a level that will never stress you out. When you are not stressed by it you may find it actually interesting and enjoyable. This applies to all sectors, all stocks. GLTA BTW.. I am not promoting short positions, personally I think they're not worth it ...more
