Not sure what reports some are citing on this subject, but short interest is waning (less than 4% of shares)

28.6% of trade value being short for firat half of July, is still huge. And I would estimate today and yesterday were both around 50%.

Not sure what "Huge" is to you. If you looked at all of those charts including 10 yr volume summary etc You would see that AC Short Volume is at it's relative lows for last few years. Bloomberg et al are scumbag front runners. They took bits and pieces from various articles (S3 Data is the culprit creator) The article I mentioned, should really be investigated, S3 are data

if you look at daily reports you will see the day trader shorting at work...the algos work a price downward without building a huge short position...some people keep.spread sheets to keep track of this activity....that is why you can find evidence of shorters without there being a huge short position at the end of the day...glta
