They are in no hurry  !!!!!! Still two weeks until either side can act. I don't know why anybody would expect a resolution before the 11th hour.  If a deal came a month before the union members would say they should have held out for better and the BoD would have said he same. There is no upside to the union for agreeing to something early.  The company, on the other hand ...more

I don't expect a resolution before sept 17 but i am surprised that the discussions has not resumed before.

They were in talks until the beginning of the 21 day cooking off period then the company broke it off.  That was only a week ago.  Now will meet again.  Brinkmanship, bluffing, actually needed the time to put together a proposal?  Who knows.  Still ...more

AC is sitting back, relying on the Government mandating the pilots back to work after they LOCK them out midnight of the 18th. (Was supposed to be 17th, parties agreed to switch it to 18th).   Now, after  the NDP's latest missive, it will be interesting to see ACs next move.   Leaking what was offered to the public is a big no no.
