Never happen,  but the ramifications are wide for sure.  Must remember  we are in a stock market not just gold.  Take Alamos with over 58% institutional investors , what would happen ?    Chaos  markets would crash to an extent   physical gold  sure maybe..   would be crazy inflation, economic instability.   Too many points to ...more

I'm of the camp that it certainly could happen I witnessed 70's 80's. Interest rates 20% plus. Farms going under.  Why can't we have another Great Depression? No currency has lasted forever as the world currency. USA is already long in the tooth. You can't add trillion dollars debt about every hundred days and don't think there will eventually be issues. Yes I suppose anything is possible.   But as you state  70s 80s    20% interest,, and yet here we are  .The Great Depression had much to do with World War 1.      But again anything is possible.   But I dont care   Im not selling My Stock in Alamos quite yet.  lol                  ...more
