I hope that the new Director, just announced, Mark Goodman, with very strong relationships with Dundee, is not an ominous development.   Think takeover or such!

Hot Copper in Au. had early press release about Goodman, then a second formal notice, but no options are given to him. NIL   Hmmmm

Almonty’s Chairman, President and CEO Lewis Black commented: "I believe that Mr. Goodman needs no introduction. His experience and knowledge of the Sangdong project is unparalleled and now that we have moved into full construction in Korea, he formally joins us as an independent director." Why ??? Whats his job ?? He already wears 6 hats, so what can he offer to us ? Hmmmm indeed

I expect the Mark Goodman we are talking about is the son of the very wealthy, well connected and respected Ned Goodman. Ned was a partner of Seymour Schulich another well respected and connected name in mining. Oddly, Ned, through Dundee was a previous board member of Woulfe Mining. Having these kinds of connections to Almonty's board should be a significant benefit to the company.

huh? are you guys kidding with all this?  Almonty bought wolfe mining from dundee. it was basically a giveaway but dundee kept a stake in the korean mine by taking a good chunk of almonty shares in the deal as well as a seat on the board... which they have had this whole time. the details of the sale were never entirely clear and it always seemed at some point dundee would re-emerge in one

Yes Almonty bought Woulfe mining from Dundee.  Yes they got Almonty shares for it.  Yes they got a seat on the board - Michael Costa around the same time that Almonty moved to the TSX from Venture Exchange. That Dundee would some day re-emerge as "the rooster coming home to roost" is entirely conjecture on your part unless you know somehting the rest of us on here don't

your points are valid and may very well be what is going on. my views on dundee's plan is absolutely conjecture on my part. I have felt that there was more to the woulfe sale than we were told from the day it was announced.

Adding Mark Goodman to the board is great news in my opinion. We need exposure, and he brings another set of possible investors to Almonty. We are really starting to get board members from everywhere involved, and they all have a great history.

Thanks chizzles, your three short sentences said it all to me. No more confusion on that now. Thanks to the others for the history lesson, as some of that old stuff I did not know.
