No matter how much time goes by we are always 1 year away from commissioning LOL Good update with company making good progress considering everything going on globally.  Best part is that we are looking to use less than one third of the 15% contingency.  A contingency that exists because kwf bank required it to be there because theres no scenario that they don't consideer when ...more

agree. 15% contingency is very unusual and above the standard 10% that is placed into a budget going for FID (Final Investment Decision). if i would have tried to place that amount in one of my project budgets the executive committee would have torn me to shreds...LOL any serious budget approved at this stage is typically class 2 (+/-10%); hence allowing for this tolerance in price fluctuation ...more

As Almonty can still operate under the stricter 15% contingency only goes to show how good this project is. Also provides context on how other mining company's management are running the Hermerdon mine in the UK. A perfect example of what to invest in and what to run away from.  I picked up more shares of Almonty today.

Quote from the NR: "We are now ready for drawdown as we enter the accelerated construction phase in South Korea.” Accelerated contstruction phase sounds like we are finally here. Frequent NR's and update's should begin now.

It is good to receive a formal project update; however, I am dissapointed with this news release for a number of reasons: On February 7, 2022, Almonty announced it had completed the conditions precedent. This news release suggests the final one was just completed. As recently as March, Lewis said Almonty could draw down funds at any time but were waiting until it was required. This doesn't ...more

@blueskies, my thoughts... there is a lot happening in the background, as always on projects. a lot of the details are not disclosed and dont need to be. but I agree that some of the information provided is ambiguous and some statements being made are not being met. not the best approach. one of the basic rules in project PR/reporting:  disclose only the minimum and only what you can defend ...more

Some good points were made. This goes back to one of my previous posts regarding LB's experience. He has never played in the big arena with big business and yes it is a learning curve for him. Yes things could have been done better, but he will learn.  But also in his defence, the CEO's of all of the other startups don't have this experiece as well. Furthermore, if you ...more

Great post by Blueskies.  I think the lack of interest reflected in the shareprice after this amazingly good announcement probably reflects similar feelings across the market.  I think Almonty is suffering from the boy who cried wolf when talking about financing.  My god... we even have a deadline of 10 days now.  Really excited, if I wasn't completely and utterly maxed ...more

Excessive money has been put into equities because the interest rate really sucked on bonds. As interest rates increase, we will see more money move out of equities and into bonds, so expect more stock market corrections. That being said, investors are nervous and they are more reluctant to put money in to an industry like tungsten when it is not well understood.  But give it time. As ...more

I have given up trying to understand this financing. It seems there is always an additional condition that requires a few million dollars to allow the drawdown to start. I mean really, this has to be some kind of joke. Great interest rate and terms. You just have to put up 25 million to get 70 and it's going to take about 6 years. And even then they have not received a penny yet. Oh wait that ...more

Sweet, I've been sucking down extra shares for the last couple months in anticipation of this. Gains in the rest of my mess have let me accumulate over .2% total instead of just .1%
