North American Mine

  • What are the chances the mine will be in Canada? I sincerely doubt it with land protests and the Federal Gov't.  So I expect the mine to be in the US and close to the customers.
  • But the cost to build a mid-tier tungsten mine and the time line. I expect it to be $800M and 8 years to complete.  If they start in 2026, then it will be completed in 2034.
  • I don't know if this is possible considering the rollout of Valtreixal and the Moly mines.
  • But waiting 8 years to get a mine to production......... I expect us to have approx $350M in the bank by 2030, which is half the cost of the new mine.
  • And then 8 years..... I wonder if it is better to buy a tier one mine closer to production so that we can purchase more mines before things get too expensive. Then return at a later date to build a North American tungsten mine.

I see your point, and mine was just a "what if", and I did say the mines are closed at North America Tungsten.. As Lewis said "Almonty knows all the players and mines in the World of Tungsten" and that is to be expected. 8 years seems to be the norm for start up groups, but I can only see a similar time frame to a future M&A on any mine. "UNLESS" If KFw is happy ...more

KFW didn't go through all of their rigourous due dilligence just to give us one loan. They wanted to ensure we were of Tier 1 caliber to do business with other Tier 1 companies and Governments. They did this for the long haul. They did this for future loans and their profitability, plus access to companies such as Almonty.  Almonty is part of the KFW family to get future loans ...more

To be clear, when I said add, I don't mean take to production.  While mines are out of favour with most of society and the market, it is an ideal time to pick the cream of the crop and own them.  It is no difference from what we are doing with our Moly mine and Valtreixal mine. We own both of them and eventually we will get them to production. But it is better to buy them when ...more

I am going to be an old fart by the time everything gets going. I have just cleaned up my keyboard and screen after reading your last comment. Beer sprayed all over the place in laughter, broke me up to the max good time.

lol.....but its true... LB is a strategic thinker, so how he creates the strategy of the growth plan will determine his future as CEO. LB could take the safe route and just build the Moly and North American mines. But if he includes virtical integration into these two mines, plus own other mines that are waiting to be developed, would convey the message to existing and future ...more
