Ramp Up

5ilver....am I understanding this correctly:
  • 1 year to install equipment at mine
  • 1/2 year to ramp up to 50% production (Jan 2024).
  • 1 year to ramp up to 100% production (Jan 2025).

You are correct, however in the NR on July 5th when LB announced the first Drawdown of the loan, he also said: Since the NR was about Sangdong, I presume the 300% and 150% expansion refer to the initial 650kt mined, then followed by the 1200 kt, but I can't rationalized the 300% and 150% growth to those numbers.

perhaps the 150% refers to the recycling. Anyone have insight into what those percentages are referring to?  I am also looking for last year's mining output from Panasqueira

I remember reading that too, and was also wondering what it meant. There is a possibility that the plant equipment has the design capacity to have a through put much more than the 1.2 mil tpa through put. That would be 3.6 mil tpa at a 300% increase, and acheivable if the equipment was over sized and ordered for this. 1.2 mil tpa equates to 3,290 tonnes per day of raw ore input, 3.6 mil tpa is 9 ...more

I found the article that TechOne Posted a few weeks ago: Sangdong Rampup

I think the 300% increase in production is 300% more than today. And only Panasquira is the only mine producing today.  They made about $21M in revenue last years but I am looking for the amount of ore mined.

From the Mining Journal, LB says Panasquira produces about 1,000 tonnes of tungsten per year. Well 300% more would be 3,000 tonnes more tungsten.  I thought Sangdong's maximum output is 1,200 tonnes. I am confused.  And then where is the additional 150% to come from?  I doubt it is the NA mine because we have no clue what the output would be and also that is also a ...more

Something doesn't add up....... Panasqueira was the only producing mine last year. Panasqueira made $20.8M in revenue.  If the selling price of an MTU was $270, then that would mean only 770 tonnes of tungsten was mined. If the selling price was $300 per MTU, then 693 tonnes was mined. According to LB comment in the Mining Journal, almost 1,000 tonnes is mined at Panasqueira ( ...more

I found the German Investor Presentation for July 2020 and according to that doc: DRAG_Almonty_final_v6-July_2020_Investor_Presentation Panasqueira will be producing just under 900 tonnes per year. I am guessing it will make $4M per year profit. it also says Panasqueira will be at the end of mine life in 2028, but I recently recall LB stating Panasqueira has another 20 year mine life.  ...more

On the first point :- "1 year to install equipment at mine" I think it was 18 months to build, but could be reduced if they pull their finger out post-haste, or it could be longer if the usual World of economic and political BS keeps hounding all sectors that we rely on to build. We really need to start civil works now while the weather is on our side, which might take the rest ...more
