Lithium Reserves.

One day Lithium will die for batteries.

 

Chile has 9.2 million tons of lithium in total. As a result, it is first in the list of lithium reserves by country by some distance. However, there are some other countries that have significant reserves of lithium, as well. Australia has the second-largest lithium reserves in the world with 5.7 million tons.

  Because lithium is not an infinite resource. In fact, according to Kipping, once EVs dominate the car market, there's about 70 years' worth of lithium until the identifiedlobal reserves are themselves depleted. 15 Aug 2022.

75% of the world's lithium resources are located in Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile. Still trying to figure out how much lithium is required in a battery as there is so much misinformation out there.

There are some significant potential lithium projects in North America as well, both Mexico and the Nevada have large projects already and there are new ones under exploration in Nevada and other locations with big potential resources as well. I'm not certain the amount of lithium iin the ground or accessible in our current world matters too much for 75 years from now, or even 30 years from ...more

As I said my farther was a chemical engineer and way back in the early 60,s he put a lump of Lithium in a small pond and lit it up with his zippo lighter, the bubles started first then the fire played on the top of the water. In the late 70,s I worked at my dads chemical company and in slow times I started to clean out old shelves and boxes that have been negleted.long before he was hired. I ...more
