Mine Development

Hi @5ilver,

I too would love your input on the question posed the other day by @1dollarinto2 TIA

Thank you 5ilver, I appreciate the info about the site. I have one more question for you with your mining background.

Lewis talks about changing one of the drives that is currently being built by Metso and that it is more than a ton in weight.

From your experience, is it possible for the most of the processing facility to be constructed and then the drive installed once it arrives?

I’ve reviewed the plant overview video  at plant overview video

and I’m not sure what drive it would be or at what stage it would need to be installed. My hope is most of the parts for the plant can be uninstalled and re-installed if needed for future maintenance purposes.

Thanks for any info you can share.

Thanks whois, if you didn't point that out I would have missed that post question from 1dollarinto2. That is the main reason I hate this new Stockhouse platform as it is not on par as it was in the past to read posts as they happen (this new platform stinks even though they tried to make it the same). The mill drive motor in question for one of the first two mills to be installed was not ...more

@5ilver Is that second drive needed to be processing or the ramp up phase? Or can they start something sooner i.e. within a few months?

Two mills to start with then two more added when ramp up is ready to start. Refer to the 3d simulation at the top of Almonty website up home page. In one of the earlier IIF presentation Lewis said they were forgoing the ramp up and going to full production. That has obviously changed back to the original plan.

Yes, they can start sooner. But historicaly probably not, sadly. With one mill on line that is 320k tonnes per year through put and that can start right now if they do the build . It would be a great test for the process plant before bringing the second mill on line, which should not be long after. When the second mill drive is delivered and installed, double that to 640k tonnes per year of ...more

Thanks 5ilver! I was thinking something was wrong as things didn't add up for me. There is no way the buildout of Sangdong would be occupying all of LB's time. Well this explains it........Soil Contamination by the previous miners.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond 5ilver.  How you describe it is exactly as I had been hoping. Wouldn't it be fantastic if there was a bunch done on the site that we just haven't seen yet. I noticed in the financials today they did the 4th drawdown, another $5.6 million so they must be doing something on the site if they need to pay for it. Happy weekend all.

I haven't had a chance to read through it yet. Do they say what the $5.6 million was for? I'm happy to hear that also, should mean some kind of progress.
