Almonty Thought Project

Interested in people's thoughts and ideas on what could go wrong two different topics: 1. Almonty as a company; 2. Almonty's shareprice over the next 12 months.

For what I think is going to go right, here goes:

I think Sangdong is going to workout as planned for Almonty; I believe they are making progress on construction; I think they have enough money to get the mine started; I think they will be processing ore sometime in middle of 2024; I don't expect any surprises once they start processing ore because they have successfully been running the pilot plant for some time now; I think Almonty has a significant ore pile already sitting ready to process which should mitgate any potential mining delays at startup; I think tungsten prices will stay at or above current levels because of world demand; if tungsten prices drop Almonty's full initial production at Sangdong is protected by a floor price which guarantees ability to pay debt and make a bit of profit.

For the shareprice, I think Sangdong is going to be profitable; I think the shareprice of profitable companies at somepoint reflects their profitability, though the timing is far from guaranteed.

So while shareholders are waiting on updates, anyone interested in sharing some thoughts on where things could go poorly, really bad, or even terrible?

What can go wrong ? The scenarios are endless, so with a bit of jest on top : Q1 : - North Korea escalates nuclear tests and has a major accident. - NK starts a War with SK. - The whole World gets involved with WWIII. - The Large Hadron Collider sucks the Earth into a self made Black Hole. - Our Sun emits a massive Solar flare that fries all electronics. - Our Sun emiting a Solar flare so great it ...more

My favourite post in a long time, well done:) Question for you on the NGO stuff. Once the concrete is down, is there much more surface disturbance? My thinking is the time for ecological complaints is pre-concrete, after that, you are just building on top of disturbed surface, so no further eco complaints? The disturbed surface stuff should be meaningless anyway on this site, as a past ...more

my opinion is that the complaints could go on about anything. dust, noise, someone walking a dog and the dog looks anxious....the democratic world of NGO's and disgruntled people/ex-employees etc means there is no end to the moaning. The irony is that much of the moaning is done on a mobile phone/PC which needs all thes raw materials to just exisit....

Corton's last post summed that up to a tee. A lot of these people are just ex-dropout university students that spent more time protesting than focusing on their studies. They should be applauding Almonty, as what you call "surface disturbance" actually began when Almonty started to demolish old derelict buildings, remove and dispose tonnes of asbestos roof sheeting safely, clean up ...more
