Special Dividend Coming
Upon closing of the PLM transaction, Aimia expects to receive approximately $492 million in net proceeds at closing and intends to utilize the majority of the proceeds to pursue the acquisition of controlling stakes in one or more cash generative businesses operating in either the U.S. or Canada.
We also intend to allocate up to $75 million of the net proceeds towards a combination of opportunistic share buybacks and/or a special dividend to common shareholders."
