Mithaq responds to Aimia video...

I do find their arguments increasingly more persuasive vs. the vague fluff and double-speak of those who issued more than 5% of shares outstanding at less than half of liquidation value to buy more votes.

As an aside, and not sure if this is indicative of anythiing, I've received multiple calls from Aimia's solicitors, but zero from Mithaq's.  Anyone else here getting calls from Mithaq solicitors at all?

I'm not swayed bv such calls, but just curious.

Agreed. Very good rebuttal from Mithaq. Tom Finke got involved at the expense of shareholders.I found many of his and Steve Leonard's comments on the video to be disingenious. It's amazing to me that Leonard is still part of the executive management team. He's been through what, four different regime changes? I have to imagine it's a function of being the only one to know where all ...more

Cringey video from Aimia.  Pretty convincing rebuttal from Mithaq, BUT: 1) I'm quite confident they've been offered BOD representation.  They don't want representation, they want control.  2) Niggling about the phrase "hedge fund" is disingenuous.  They clearly state they intend to actively invest rather than return capital, and that was Tom's point. ...more

I've been contacted by Mithaq's solicitor a couple of times.   Only once by Aimia's who brought a BNN interview to my attention.    I've never seen anyone from Mithaq interviewed .

She's a great interviewer, but sadly Tom couldn't stumble his way to answering very many of her questions effectively.  He's bad on details and even worse on avoiding details.  Sounds like if elected they plan to make a plan to maybe divest of some stuff in the next couple of years, but not 3 to 5 years. Maybe.  Strategic review, check!  Unlock shareholder value ...more

"Talk about piss poor options"  sums it up nicely.

I've wondered about how Steve Leonard has been able to survive all of the previous management changes.  Curious if he was asked by the board to stay on and keep the Mittleman boys in line or because his payout would be huge.  He's been there 14 years.
