That we expected , but its better than nothing

I was expecting at least 6c which would have made the monthly 8.5. The difference between 4c and 6c per year is immaterial to AltaGas so I don't know why they went with such a low number. Disappointing. The big question is whether after waiting another year to December 2021 will we be rewarded with another miserly bump. I don't see the share price moving very far with this news.

I think they're setting up a pace here, so that they can increase the dividend by that percentage every year going forward.

Every year ALA works with credit rating agencies and they want to bring down debt further before interest rates rise so showing very modest div rise satisfies rating agencies. Market wants that so price rise to 24 feasible. They are n line with other companies with div % as well
