RIPET
Vessel Crystal River -LPG tanker has arrived at Ripet-8pm PST. Next LPG tanker is expected to arrive in a period of 7-8 days.....March 14-15th
Arrival Departure Vessel TYPE GT Barrels Propane PortPeriod
Feb12 Feb15 Nadeshiko LPG 45812 582,000
Feb22 Feb23 Laurel Prime LPG 47963 609,000 10
Mar7 Crystal River LPG 46793 594,000 15
Mar15 Gas Capricorn LPG 46021 584,000 8
*Assuming 12.7 barrels / metric tonne
*592,000 barrels /11days= 54k barrels/day implied throughput rate of Ripet. Using running average over 4 fill periods.
*LPG tanker rates $250k/day (est)
*port rates 75k/visit (est)
The port at Ripet is occupied most of the time. The port is shared with Teck Resources shipping met coal to Asia. Teck is having a banner year so the wharf is mostly occupied with bulk tankers. Port expansion would be needed to increase throughput.
Nameplate capacity 80k/day
Export license : 92k/day (2 licenses of 46k/day rec’d)
Calculated rate of export :54k/day

Once they get to the wharf it only takes two days to fill up and get under way at Ripet. What is your PortPeriod?

GunnerG : Port Period = number of days between ships mooring at the port.(interval between ship arrivals). The average "port Period is used to calculate the average throughput /day. It is not the "time the tanker stays in port". GLTA RFguy
