While you not to far away ,assuming a $ US 2,2 B revenue from utilities in the WGL  what will be the reduction in Canadian $ just in the quarter.
This look to me a big reduction just 0,05 is $ 110 M on the top line revenue.

Check out page 19 of the transcript from last earnings call. CFO says a .05 move in the exchange rate affects EBITDA by about 35 million.   But I assume they have factored in a lot of any move in their assumptions before they projected their earnings for the year.  So stronger shipments with greater EBITDA will more than compensate for the hit from exchange rates   This ...more

Thank you for the information and what you read on the transcript ! A Cn dollar at 0,79 = a factor of 126 ........................0.75 = a factor of 133 So US  1 B-----»1 260 B at 0,79 Canadian .....US .1 B......»1,333 B at 0,75  ..................or $ 73 M less revenue  on $ US 1 B  and Utilities is $ US B approx in the Q1  Just to say that I find the $ 35 M ...more

"For the fourth quarter of 2020 the average Canadian/U.S. dollar exchange rate decreased to 1.30 from an average of 1.32 in the same quarter of 2019, resulting in a decrease in normalized EBITDA of approximately $5."    Taken from press release page 6.   So if it is 3x that given larger change in exchange rate we are talking about only $15 million decrease of what ...more
