Down we go again

I remember when this stock was 3 buck which would have made us a 30 dollar stock with the consolodation but here we are at 4.60 which equates to .46 cents and it looks like we going lower... Very sad

Gold futures dropped suddenly, losing almost 1 percent of their value in about 15 minutes. It's pretty sad what's happening to gold and the manipulation. Will they ever be caught??

Caught? The manipulators run the casino.

Well, this is very short sighted selling and great for entry points, increasing positions and building swing positions.  All this, simply because of a miss by a few 1000 oz in H2.  But, this shows the lack of confidence in McCunn. Market Cap of $200M is a total joke with $70M Cash on hand.  You could say this values AP at the acquisition price, despite the addition of the Al Sauzal ...more

“Potentially we’d be a good fit — there’s always that potential — but our mission is to build a mid-tier gold mining company, so we’ll keep doing the right things, and if someone wants to buy us, we’ll run like hell and make them tackle us from behind.” https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:IjLDhlhwU5MJ:www.northernminer.com/news/alio-gold-make-construction-decision-ana-paula-q2 ...more

"At US$1,250 per oz. gold, Ana Paula’s net present value is estimated at US$223 million using a 5% discount rate, and it has a projected 34% internal rate of return." So, $223 million valuation for Ana Paula, $70 million in the bank and a profitable San Francisco mine in the process of being made more profitable. As Mr. B stated, the current market cap valuation of $200 mil. is a ...more

196 million CAD market cap = 154 million USD. Something else that intrigues me: "“We’re going to drill it off from underground, and there’s potential to double the reserves there, but of course we need to drill it to prove that,” McCunn says." So I consider it a low-risk, sleep-easy stock yet wtih meaningful upside both internally and in terms of leverage to gold.

I just saw that our last three posts that were positive on Alio were downvoted at one star. Hmmm, I wonder if there is an entity that wants this share price to go down. Possible shenanigans for a cheaper takeover? Just postulating, because something certainly doesn't feel right with the harsh selloff that we've been experiencing. Many Alio insiders bought in big time to the rececent ...more

P.S. I upvoted our posts at 5 stars, just to even it out. Now they're at 3 stars, lol. Who cares, lol. I guess I do :-)

no point in buying now if its dropping to 4 dollars .
Comment by Goldhound3 on Nov 13, 2017 11:37am
I agree and by the looks of how many shares keep getting added on the ask side we will be at 4 bucks really quick and even lower when tax loss kicks in at end of month...We have already lost 50% from the high... Not looking good and back in the red again

auburn2, I thought that I would check in with you to see how your investment in Alio Gold or Timmins Gold as it used to be named is going.  Alio Gold is on my watch list because it was the 8th most profitable junior gold miner in Q3 2017 of the companies that have reported to date. Alio Gold also has the distinction of being the second most efficient gold miner in terms of ounces of gold ...more

gannddolph, as usual your post impresses but you are not entirely honest. Before going over all the details, let's look at the closing paragraph: "What puzzles me most of all is why investors like yourself would pay over $3 USD per share for a stock that wants to be a two mine gold producer 3 years from now and needs to borrow $130 million to get there, but think that a two mine gold ...more

It wil get worse before it gets better. If this quarter surprises to the upside then the bleeding will stop. Its show me time and the market sentiment is very negative. Any good news should be well received.

Hi Godisgr81, nice to see you posting again. In the past few years, most gold stocks seemed to hit thier bottom / lows, mid Dec - mid Jan, then a great spike up. If history reports itself.... Weeble, you've been quiet. You usually have some good imput. Thanks
