New deal question

Do you think the share price will react well or drop if there's a new deal / producing asset?

I would say negatively, now is not the time to buy an asset. Keith said he's looking for like $50 a barrel cost so the only way he'll get that is to assume an entity's debt. So I doubt he can swing a deal, Africa oil is at this point trying to sell a portion or all of its Kenya operation so I'd say we are net sellers at this point. I am not aware of many small players in Africa ...more

Definitely think the market to buy producing assets has changed from a buyers to a seller market.  With the world scrambling for energy there will not be anything cheap to buy.  That being said, Kenya, South Africa and Nambia should attract a lot buyers.   So you can't gave it both ways. id rather miss out on good deal to avoid a bad one.  Keith better not gamble on ...more

Exactly and I know others will disagree but Kieth is kind of that lucky dumb kid with connections. Getting the Nigeria assets was dumb luck in the sense they had to hedge to leverage up for the deal. That was after he tanked AOI for years after the Kenya discoveries. he's a proven loser, the forced marriages with ECO and AFE were not his call #lundingroup At the end of the day the less ...more
