Interesting post, and would leave AOI pretty flush with cash   Also interesting for Impact.   I think they can find a solution for the exploration well(s) but not the development buildout.  They could, however, sell a piece ot their stake to fund this and remain in for the long term. The detail here is pretty specific.  Wonder why its not more publicized.

It's $5B to get to production. No one will buy anything until appraisal weeks are done and producing for at least a year. Quality is everything and buyers will pay the price. RU should buy in since they are already very active in Africa, along with China, and build the pipeline to EU lol, since they both have the steel, manpower, and are friends with all of Africa.

Appraisal is a must, need to know the api, pressure, composition etc.... volumetics are always tricky, so 2-10 billion barrels is possible at this point. Sounds like the billionaire in control of impact wants to cash out. Such is his right, so he may be willing to cash out early but who knows. Impact being private complicates things.  The turn around on one of the deepest wells ever ...more

It's a long haul. May2023 oil is $85 bbl or so. I guess everyone is expecting RU will have kicked the Nazis out and achieved their stated goals by then. It's clear EU cannot ban RU oil, that has tripple the exports VS same time last year with 26 M bbl enroute on tankers now. Without the EU ban the price is going nowhere. Already EU Nazis supporters telling the population they will all be ...more
