Others have posted studies that share buybacks are anything but everlasting...just rewards flippers that are no longer shareholders and gets mngmnt Options into the money.
Usually wastes money on financial engineering, not real engineering....just look at Boeing

Mngmnt should get rewarded when they grow the company into a size a Major wants to buy at a premium...not when they spend shareholder money to feather their own nest.
