Why would AOI want to divorce from ECO. Eco has a significan stake in highly prospective 3b/4b, where AOI has a very large stacke now, and a farmdown in place, and an interesting stake surrounding Chevron, and a wild card in Guyana. They should be buying shares in ECO rather than AOI.

100% agree. If the management of AOI would have foresight they would follow this strategy.

The oil/tax friendly regime in Namibia is not an argument. They wanted to lure the oil companies in. You can bet the farm, that they'll change that after the first oil...easy prediction, it's Africa.

How did they oversleep on this highly specualtive exploration play thats 5-6 years away from first production yet to be deemed commercialy viable? I agree they should distribute 80% of free cash flow they cwrtainly are price out of Orange basin now.
