AQN got 2 huge project

Once they are complete AQN STOCK WILL BE DOUBLE AND MORE, THE DIVIDEND OF AQN IS INSULT, THEY COULD DOUBLE EASY, HOW EVER, AQN GOT BRIGHT FUTURE, EMERA AND FORTIES ARE EXPENSIVE, BETTER STICK WITH AQN, WILL DOUBLE FAST, LIKE NORTH LAND POWER, IT GONE UP 150 %IN 1Y, THAT WHAT GOING HAPPEN TO AQN, NIP WAS 29D, WHEN THEY MAKE INVESTMENT OF SHORE GERMANY, WENT DOWN TO 20 BUCKS, BECAUSE STUPID ANALYSTS, ANALYSTS ARE BEHIND THE CURVE, ONCE HALF THE PROJECT FINISHED, THE STOCK  WILL BE MORE THAN DOUBLE, THIS IS FACT REALTY, CHECK OUT IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME.

Why is the divy an insult, you said it yourself, they have some huge projects to finance. Where is the money coming from to build these out?

AQN  very mean dividend wise ,it pays just a little bit above 3%  where north land power pay 7% also they got 3 huge project, even  altagas pays above 5% and got a lot of debts , aqn pay in US  though still low even with exchange, aqn should double thier dividend to be even with its peers

AQN is set up to be both income and growth. Not just income as they used to be when set up as a trust company, when I first started investing in this company. The growth side of this company is what helped it rebound from the $1.79 stock price days. The future stock price increase will be from further growth not just dividend. They do go hand in hand but at this point rather than stretch the finances ...more

Well said , once things settle down we will be heading towards the 30.00 mark before year end. a few years back the upped the dividend like this and around x-mas gave a special dividend of 80 cents if I remember right. that was 3 or 4 years ago. This stock is a LP  GTLA

Hey Vinny My wife & I are long term holders (Nov, 2011) and huge fans but I totally doubt this will be at $30 by year end. My prediction is more like $23. (an I would be happy with that!!) I guess we'll see. Ciao   Sarge

Hi Sarge , Good for you ! I hope I'm right also . Funny thing with this stock is when you don't expect it it moves upwards...I see a 26.00 minimum price by year end but hoping 30.00 ..INE is also a bit similar price wise..those 2 seem to track alike anyhow..AQN is my go to stock ( been buying since i got in at the 7.00 range years ago and even have a drip )  very happy so far and ...more

Sargex good have some news about you and your wife ! Best advice ( from a stupid BB follower) If you think AQN is going to hit the roof in a short while you could transfert part of it to your TFSA now and pay taxes on the actual share price discount. You will not have to pay taxes on the plus value of AQN in the coming months and dividentd not taxable, Just whan to share my experience because I ...more

Hey Bossu Thanks for thinking of me. I have been moving stuff into our TFSAs from both our RRSP/RRIF and non-reg accounts for a number of years. I've been using both in kind transfers and manual buy TFSA sell other account. The problem with our AQN holding (and of course, I'm not complaining about this) is that it is mostly in our non-reg accounts and I'm sitting on a capital gain of ...more

Very informative exchange and could be usefull for ''bullboard followers ! Age make a big difference and the sooner you take the good decision the better it is. When part of your holding is in a regular account it make a big difference and  when it's time to make a moove to take a profit or loss is a bit ''worrysome when it's time to make your annual financial report ...more

Hey Bossu Thanks for the nice comments. I also do quite a bit of day/short term trading with some of our extra cash. I did this off and on for a few years but really ramped it up starting last March with the recovery from the Covid crash.  I do slightly bigger $ amounts than you and only trade in stocks we already own. I always put a sell order in right after the buy so that I don't ...more

Thank Sarge, Another ''similarity'' for not having an investing advisor. I also have RBC Direct Investing and I only have one Bank Account with  RBC. Very easy to transfert funds from one account to the other etc etc. On my previous post where I was taking about KEY . Having read in  this morning G&M the ''ANalyst upgrade/down grade'' «Expecting ...more

BOSSU__Perhaps your memory is starting to get a tad rusty with your age eh??__discount brokers did not show up til the early 80s__Marathon Brown was one of the earliest and I used them back then for a few years__but then they were gobbled up in a few years by TD the first Bank to go online Self Directed.
