Red Deer - you are correct about "Mr Market at His Best".  But Mr Market knows the stock originally tanked because rising interest rates made the Kentucky Power deal more expensive leading to a drop from $15 to around $9 at the low.  Now that the cause is removed one would expect the effect to be a rise back to prior levels...in theory. But Mr Market is able to control things

in my opinion it's down the past 2 days as the traders who had bought the shares earlier on the expectation that the KP deal would fail and who have made their profits are now selling their shares..the old idea of buy the rumour and sell on the news..

Hey BM Totally agree and so does RBC. They put a note out saying that they were aware of a large number of short term traders who had bought in expecting the deal to fall through. They made their "quick" dough and are exiting and should be doen today or tomorrow. I think the $11.27 low of today is the bottom and that AQN will be work its way above $12 in the next month or so. Market had already priced in the breaking off of the deal. Now the stock will "at best" drift sideways with more of a leaning towards a gradual slide lower in the coming weeks.

Nordico...you are new to the markets?? Watch and learn. It's a no brainer predicting this stock will drift lower in the coming weeks. There is significant froth in the stock from speculators who were driving the stock up based on a failing deal. Now they are unwinding their positions. You understand that right?? Looks for a retrace to around 10 bucks or so before some stabilization takes place
