Q2 2023 In A Nutshell

Article courtesy BNN Bloomberg.

Next key questions:

1) If AQN is going to sell their entire Renewables Business as stated in their press release,, will it be one buyer (e.g. Brookfield Renewables) or multiple buyers?

2) Will they get fair market value for these assets? If they want to sell soon, perhaps not (See TC Energy). It they are willing to wait, perhaps the offer(s) will become more attractive...?

3) I sense they want to sell as soon as possible, so the sale appears likely to take place before a new full-time CEO is hired.

4) Funny how no one internally was promoted to CEO as AQN is doing an executive search outside the company for a new CEO. Perhaps the BOD didn't feel any internal upper management candidate would be able to produce the kinds of results they want to see (or maybe these individuals are seen as part of the problem that led to AQN's current situation)...?
