OMG- that's insane on his chart analysis!  Or is it?   Breakout at $24 then we move quick to $77.  Break $77 then we move to $258 and followed by around $450?   How reliable are those technical chartist guys? I have no worries about that $8 support he was talking about because that is history and we will never go there again.   The beauty of having ...more

Dear Ron and fellow shareholders, i would love your comments on the value investors analysis posted yesterday. Thank you in advance.

Well Gabriel, the discussion seems to have been distracted by that other video with a hilarious commentary, so I will try and respond to your request.  And btw the allusions to NVDA were equally hilarious and I might add, irrelevant. As to the VI Analysis posted (whose  author is not named)  it is not dissimilar in its style to your own contributions here and evoked a deja vu ...more

With reference to aligning the ducks: We have in my opinion the co-founder (this is his life-time legacy and that of his parents) and likely the most experienced construction administrator as chairman supported by a very carefully chosen, broadly experienced and diverse board members covering most all spectrums management needs. The C-suite team is equally impressive and I am not being indulgent ...more

Gabriel & Ron  good morning. This is music to my ears!  G, firstly thanks for sharing both posts. I have tons of confidence in firstly reaching out to $35   Sooner than later, and for this to happen we need to show a clean 3 rd quarter  and for the GO expansion and Scarborough subway to be priced into the backlog. Likewise there will be other projects priced in and new ...more

Well said Henry Amazing how well Aecon is holding up these days.  Yup getting through this $18 price ceiling is a bit challenging.  We are hitting it then pulling back a bit then recovering too.  Someone holding this from really running hard.  Do I like it? You bet.  I placed buy limit orders on my last 3 orders and all were filled.  My limit prices on the last ...more

New high $18.20 , this could be your day to  leap and stay into $18. Just remember, the gate keeper our new cfo , bought twice on superior information! He knows everything about Aecon , before anyone else knows. Its like us going to a doctor for a thorough check up and every inch checked through by using sophisticated equipment and knowledge.  In contrast our sophisticated cfo did all ...more

Gabriel,  I am an enthusiastic Aecon shareholder (Engineer by trade and hapily retired while exploring artistic fields) and, troughout both episodes, SNC and Aecon, you gained a lot of credibility based on factual reasoning...  But here, I suspect that your intention with this video is to make us laugh. To me this kind of graphic analysis deserves less credibility than reading in a ...more

Who could have predicted Nvidia trading at 125$ today while it was selling for less than 5$ just before Covid ? I do not believe in miracles, but this stock is bound to exceed its most recent high of 2021 then make new highs when LSTKs are a thing of the past.. In any case I'm soon to be two-bagger of this stock and in no hurry to sell. NCIB has just started and who knows, someone might ...more

Thank you. Compliments are as good as money ..even for men. Evidently. I thought that was clear since I wrote  "pleasant moment", "enjoy" and "FWIW"  for whatever it was worth.. But he might be right lol  .. 50$ is very plausible. I actually shared my thoughts on how two get to 50$ with top management. We will get there brothers.
Comment by Henrye on Aug 20, 2024 5:56pm
Yes your message was clear, for us all  to have fun with it, and I , and most likely you elected to cap the video predictions at $77 , and past that would be great and not impossible but too premature .. You are saying $50 is plausible and so do I , supported by your previous facts and assumptions that were very palatable.  Based on video, I decided to cap my future outlook on Aecon at ...more

This is doable with the excellent team in place. The answer to your question Henry as to how to get to 77$ in the next 5 years would require IMHO to : (1) very carefully and selectively build the EBITDA of the concessions division from 93m in the last twelve months to 230m in the next five years, which equates to a compounded annual growth rate of ~ 20% in energy/decarbonization and in the ...more

No need to emulate. You know where I'm going Gab. I'm sure that the canadian government would not block a takeover of Aecon by BAM. Interesting times ahead ...

In this case my wife is a huge owner of Bam ( Brookfield) over many years and many splits. This amazing world class company  is incredible with amazing management consistently growing and amassing wealth in sectors that matter and are very creative.  Often I thought about BAM scooping Aecon , but I thought that they are extremely picky at who they aquire , and Aecon clearly was not on ...more

While we are at it: What do we know about Aecon's control shareholders? I wonder... In case of a sudden "takeover storm" will Aecon be an easy/vulnerable prey (at 40% premium) or do we have any big brothers (perhaps institutions) to resist? ...or, will the battle only be among the aggressive beasts/predator on the takeover side? I guess the board has two step ahead on this one ...more
Comment by Ronbromleygross on Aug 22, 2024 7:04pm
Yeah takeover seems likely if the past demons of the lstk projects are now under control and included in the financials.   Assuming a 50 percent premium then you are looking at roughly a $25 price.  I hope it goes much higher.  Who knows though.   It no takeover by eoy 2024 then we hopefully move up to around $40 by eoy 2025 imo once the LSTK's are indeed finished and ...more

Great point. Thank you for bringing this up. I have no idea, We probably have ~ 10% on this board (~ 3% here) so very insufficient to weight in.  The NCIB, even with leveraged recapitalization to buy back additional shares when possible, is the best way to prevent this from happening. Other measures like poison pills, golden parachutes, dual shares with different voting power, etc, are ...more
