those shares are locked for 2 years, so even if they "spun them out" to shareholders, you can't sell them for that time....and there are probably something in the regs about giving the shares away in a special dividend during that lock up period (not 100% sure about that last statement). What they're doing now is buying back 10% of the float which will have a large impact on

fine, continue buying back shares at this cheap price and then spin out caldas/aris shares in 2 years. and spin out  gold x shares as well. i have no problem holding and collecting good dividend that is higher than gov bond interest, and watching gcm continue to be a cash cow.

Aris , ( Caldas ) already began trading on the TSX today . Shows you what the big names on their board can do .   As close as I can see Aris market cap is approx . , 30% less than GCM .
