41% increase in inferred is huge! mi of 1.62 mil + inf of 1.70 mil = 3.32 mil oz that is a big jump from last year and close to 15 years of production @ 200k oz/yr. they have another big exploration program this year to increase oz even more. q4 earnings coming up next week. we already know q4 production is much higher than q3. one of these days, segovia use of low cost electricity will show up ...more

Might get an indication of what they are going to do with that massive pile of cash and gold from the last eight weeks.  Possibly will pay back some debt, increase dividend or renew share buyback. Could also take a bigger position in some of the companies they are already involved with. Moving nicely today.

I don't think they have a huge pile of cash, they just invested $35 million in convertible notes in Aris
Comment by invest234 on Mar 24, 2022 1:55pm
if they do nothing, those convertible notes turn back into cash and 7.5% interest. last reported $329 mil cash balance and $138 mil coming from wheaton is not a pile of cash? toro is overfunded with that amount of cash. they probably have not spent a lot of cash on toro in the beginning phase. large capex equipment usually not needed until later. takes time to pave road for heavy equipment. what ...more

invest I'm not arguing any of that, but they need to be over-funded for Toro with inflation raging like it is. The convertible notes were a great move IMO, but I don't think they will be committing much cash to share repurchases or increased dividend at this time, unless the share price goes down below 5 again. Just my opinion

as said before, their updated pea was recent with an effective date of Dec. 2021 so the independent geologists should have included some of that inflation. a lot of people must be scared of another argonaut magino cost overrun, but the magino study was done years ago and they did not do a recent update like gcm did. gcm upcoming pre-feas will be up to date. serafino talked about the possibility of ...more

invest234 I would be very happy if they started their buybacks again, that's better use of funds than dividend IMO. No doubt we are cashflowing like crazy with these gold prices :) I would not complain at all if they decided to keep part of the treasure in gold instead of currency.

They just invested 35 million in Aris and most of the taxes have to be paid in der first half of the year.  That is the reason why there is no  buy back right now.
