A tax reform proposed by the new government in CO includes a 10% tax on gold exported but yesterday the Minister of Finances said that such tax will be removed from the draft tax reform because is hard to track all gold exported and also because there're many big companies that work with small miners...

Everyone gets so uptight when a left government goes in but take a look at even Chile The extreme young left prime minister proposed nationalizing mining and got thumped in a vote. They end up going to the middle no matter how left they are and have to stay there or lose power. Bakulet was a great prime minister in Chile that was left and still went on to her the U.N. to her present position
