Aris Short Interest Update

It looks like the short sellers were extra crispy.  The November 15 short interest report had a short position of 848,000.  I just looked and the short interest fell to 308,000 as of November 30th.  They covered about two days worth of volume in the last half of November.

Presently Aris is digesting its gains and thin volume.  This is what Bulls want to see.  I'm not expecting anything substantive until the FOMC meeting on December 14th.  I'll tell you what, if the Fed only increases 50 basis points, the PM sector will explode higher.  I still think the PM sector will do well if 75 basis points is the interest rate hike as it gets rates much closer to the market priced terminal rate of 5%.

I believe the fed is counter productive with rate hikes now. They are inflationary in themselves. They will of course go with atleast 50 pts and stress markets, increase unemployment, stress housing markets, lower tax revenues for governments (state and fed), strengthen the dollar temporariy, and increase their trade imbalance. Inflation will stay around 4%. The last thing the US needs is ...more
