Oil up 2.5%, ARX Unchanged

This is getting absolutely ridiculous, on a day when oil is up significantly along with Nat gas and the stock is essentially flat...this is a joke

SP is acting like they removed all their hedges or something!!

Best move I've ever made....Trading in all my ARX for TOU on Friday
Comment by topdown99 on Aug 10, 2021 4:36pm
I gotta agree with that , I cleared out today . There is no way this company is healthy when it trades like this . Remember to turn off the light when the last guy leaves .
Comment by alertmeipp on Aug 10, 2021 5:15pm
ARX is quite a bit cheaper.  I suspect VII shareholders are selling out, ARX is too conservative for them I think.
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 10, 2021 5:21pm
no it's not.
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 11, 2021 11:37am
why would a conservatively managed company like arx need to cut their dividend twice and lose over 60% of it's value in the last 5 years alone? this is a SERIOUS question btw. would love the hear answers from the group assembled. conservatism is more than just talking the talk.
Comment by Beakr123 on Aug 11, 2021 11:39am
Have you seen the natural gas market over the past few years prior to COVID?
Comment by MyHoneyPot on Aug 11, 2021 11:43am
Just the dismal management presentations, lack of plan plan and declining stock price, that all i can see. IMHO
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 11, 2021 12:08pm
tou was more exposed to nat gas than arx was. compare the two performances. tou never billed itself as a conservative company that will preserve your capital. thought that's precisely what it did.
Comment by Trapped on Aug 11, 2021 12:25pm
No offense but do you live under a rock? Ever heard of last year's Saudi-Russia price war? Do you recall WTI going negative after the pandemic was declared? They cut the dividend because the alternative under the circumstances would have been to fund it with debt in a declining commodity price enviroment. Trust me, they did the right thing.
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 11, 2021 12:32pm
no offense but do you live in a CAVE? tou BIRTHED a new company, made SEVERAL acquisitions, and has rasied their dividend 6 times during the downturn. NO CUTS...as far as I know tou "lived through" the same crises as ARX did. again performance NOT platitudes. comapre that performance of the two companies over the last 5 years and 10 years. report your FINDINGS. if you are going to talk ...more

Comment by uncutgems on Aug 11, 2021 2:13pm
rotflma....you do realize that at one time ARX was paying $1.20 a year? do you know what the yield would be if arx had not chopped your dividend twice? the yield would be ove 14%. the yield is higher than tou today because the arx share price is so low, and the tou share price is so high. but you do you and go to your mail box every 3 months and open that envelope. if this is how you choose to ...more

lol i read your post history. that stock has been nothing but down for YEARS. I hope but of course you "traded" it for a profit. :) I have a question. don't you prefer penny stocks and stocks under $5 and vancouver stocks? arx seems like an odd name for you.

beaker why do wish to control the discourse of this board? why censor and make this an echo chamber? why not be open to all voices and all points of view?
Comment by Trapped on Aug 10, 2021 6:42pm
I will never fault another investor for doing what's best for them. I'm holding firm as my time horizon is 3 - 5 years and so I couldn't care less what this does in the near term. I only wish all the non-believers would sell and exit the board. Happy for you, SpeciallyGood!
Comment by alertmeipp on Aug 10, 2021 6:53pm
So in next 3-5 years. - VII's asset base decline rate will be much lower - Attachie will be generating 450mm FCF (at 75 cdn oil) - Debt will be next to nil. - and LNG Canada will be online
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 10, 2021 8:31pm
you're even more optimistic than ARX. ARX says ATTA is going to generate $250m. but what's $200m a year among friends?
Comment by alertmeipp on Aug 10, 2021 9:52pm
check the price assmption they are using vs mine. the #s are from RBC report
Comment by uncutgems on Aug 11, 2021 11:33am
arx assumptions are reasonable and conservative, unlike your chosen Bankers. we are talking about 2024, and beyond, not today. The project has yet to be sanctioned by ARX bod. they need to pay off more debt first.
