It will be years or perhaps even longer before Russian Oil and Gas makes it back onto the global market.

I think you may well be correct on that, however, all it really means is that Rusian Oil will go to China, India, North Korea and the like so the demand for gloabl oil from those countries will decrease which will/may be offset by those countries who no longer will be buying their oil from Russia (ie Europe).  The two should balance one another so the net effect of all these embargos  on ...more

I don't know the exact capacity or flow rates to Asia and Europe from Russia but I highly doubt the Russian-Asian infrastructure can accommodate an increase of flow that encompasses the existing European imports that will be cut. In time you may be right that Russian exports may find their way into Asian markets but the infrastructure required will take years to construct, so for the short-mid ...more
