Fully permitted and under construction since 2019 it is not the government slowing LNG Canada, It is also not the government's fault the Coastal Gas Link pipeline is overbudget by more than double. Even though I support LNG construction and increasing NG sales the government is not entirely wrong about its economic viability given low historic gas prices and should leave it to private ...more

I believe the gov has much to do with the length of time and the cost over runs. The processes for permitting and negotiating with first nations is ridiculous.  Environmentalists are a pain in the ??? with their constant legal fights which only serve to slow things.  First nations, who do you negotiate with?  They elect chiefs who say yes, then the hereditary chiefs say no and ...more

Yeah I didn't think I would get too many supporters for my view here and I see why you think what you do. Hard to blame this government for the treaty failures of the past governments and yeah it is hard to know who to negotiate with for all concerned.  All I can say is ENB stuffed a line 3 replacement through with little to no government help and very little in the way of cost or time ...more
