ARX Management has its head in the sand

Really do you believe that they bought Kakwa, with have full gas plants and no potential to expand the resouce.

Terry, just thinks Atachie is just as good, but do you know how many years, and how much capital it took to get Kakwa proved up, and to scale!

I think it is pretty stupid, Kakwa being the best play ever in the Montney, and ARX CEO after initally ditching it because of decline which all horz well have, said he had to fix it. What needs to be fixed is ARX management.

This is absoulately stupid, and Kakwa has never produced at capacity because ARX has robbed it to make investments in postage stamp plays like Sunrise.

Now their developing Attachie, with with type curves that don't tell you the cost for the wells?

Kakwa had lots of undeveloped land around it, and tons of 1/2 cycle opportunity.

You just cannot trust ARX management to do the right thing for the shareholder.

I did a two year comparison of ARX with Nuvista (Q3 '21 to Q3 '23). ARX grew less than 2%. Nuvista grew from 51,000 to 80,000 boepd almost 60% growth. Nuvista condensate grew from 15,779 to 26,704 boepd.  Shareholder returns - buybacks and debt reduction - more or less the same using 4.5X (ending) production factor (guess of $616M vs $2.7B). Of course ARX started off 7X larger than ...more

Does anyone recall this thread from just before the start of 2024? Lets have a little look back at how everyone is doing... ARX YTD  +19.75 %  yield 2.9% NVA  YTD +15.5%  yield 0% POU YTD +5.75% yield 6.36%  KEL  YTD +0.00% yield 0.00% "Only thing is ARX pays a dividend, NVA doesn't.  Is it the play, management or a bit of both? I don't ...more

Yeah, personally I think ARX is holding up really well against peers as you can see. It's true that there are a few heavy oil E&Ps outperforming all of these mixed light oil and NG E&Ps. I wonder if that is an area that ARX should expand into to help smooth out these down cycles? Turn ARX from a 3 trick pony into a 4 trick pony? Maybe just keep expanding the condy side of ...more
