Do shareholders not have a say?

do shareholders not hold a majority vote? We could just vote to reject it. Also I think the company is going to see the investors reaction to this deal, notice that the french goverment is considering it because were over paying and also realize it's not a smart move for the company in general. The offer will be ether rejected or dropped

I was born and raised in England, a country that has been fighting France on and off for almost 1000 years!  They are socialists and nationalists who hate anything been done better than they can do it themselves. You misunderstand me - we both agree about the likelihood of the deal going through.  But the management of ATD know that just as well as you or I do - and yet the have still ...more

But... There is a special bond between Quebec and France.  Quebec basically gave the C Series jets to Airbus (Re: Boeing fued). The French owe us one and they know it... ;-)  They'll take their time, and try to reach a deal after their election. Cheers CQFD
