Offer is just a ploy. Couche tard needs to walk away. Then they'll come back begging to sell 7 eleven. Scoop it up for cheap then. 47 is too high and 50 is definitely not worth it. It's a dying used up brand. You wouldn't pay a premium for a Jalopy car - would you? Glta

Sure, most white knight offers are a ploy and I'd be surprised if Couche Tard fell for it. That said they may nudge up the price a bit as a last offer. I am sure that Couche Tard have identified many locations that would respond well to growth strategies. If the deal goes through, engineering organic development of the 7-11 would probably keep Couche Tard busy for the next decade. With ...more
