I no longer can buy ATH from ASK - confirmed

So either I was flagged as a large shareholder or there are other reasons but I no longer can buy from ASK side. Again, tried to buy for 60 cents from ASK and my order was going to be rerouted to a representative. It is kind of crappy but it is what it is. I am currently bidding @ 59 cents. Funny enough, I can easily sell to bid without rerouting which makes it really weird that not the same rules apply for lowering the stock price. In any case I do not care that much about myself but I am curious if there are many other buyers like me affected. If there are then it explains that on days like this the stock is not moving at all.

I do not think so. This is about 7th or 8th time it is happening to me in the last 3 months going back when ATH was like 17 cents. I was trying to buy from ASK quantities exceeding what was available, so that theory doesn't work. I think I was somehow prohibited from buying from ASK side period.

Shows 60+ orders at 60 cents. So probably something else on your end.
Comment by lovehockey on Mar 12, 2021 12:46pm
What? This is exactly what I said, there are plenty of 60 cents shares on ASK side, but I can't buy any of them. The only way I can buy if someone sells it to me on the BID side.

Still with that same crappy broker? Jeez, just switch already...
Comment by lovehockey on Mar 12, 2021 12:51pm
Crappy? I think it is considered one of the best in Canada.
Comment by Chris007 on Mar 12, 2021 12:53pm
Obviously its not one of the best if they are consistantly having trouble executing basic buy and sell orders, as per your constant posts

I actually made it clear I do not care about myself because I still found the way to buy. The reason why I posted this is because I wanted to see if there are any other people affected by these measures. Considering that there are lots of shares "available" on ASK side and not too many large trades happening I can see that this may be affecting way more people.

lol...and once again,no,  it never affects anyone but you and your "mystery" broker.

It must be aliens intervening to prevent you from making millions. Make a hat out of tinfoil, fire up a fatty, and try again. OR, try bidding 0.5 cents above the offer for 10,000 shares. 10,000 @ 60.5 vs 10,000 at 60 will cost you $50 to find out if the problem is an all or none block at 60.  OR, why haven't you called your broker and asked them what the fawk the problem is. Could be a ...more

There is this one guy on the Baytex Forum. (Un)something, I cannot remember his name. Perhaps Monday he wouldn't mind sacrificing the $50. :D

What are you talking about, If there is 500k shares on the ask side for 60 cents and you are trying to buy 10k for 60.5 you will still pay 60 cents. It will not cost you 50 dollars more. So it must be aliens.
Comment by Maxmoe on Mar 13, 2021 3:17pm
It was suggested the 500k offered at 60 might be an all or none order. Do you know what that means?
Comment by strikezone1 on Mar 14, 2021 2:55pm
The offer may be all or nothing, so unless you take it all you can't have any of it.
Comment by Nothingmatters on Mar 14, 2021 4:32pm
Lovehockey, you need to lay off the organic things. Lol just kidding. Glta.
Comment by Maxmoe on Mar 14, 2021 9:14pm
If you have a real broker, and you call and speak to them, they can tell you if it's all or none. Or as I suggested you can jump that offer and bid a half cent over it. Or you could buy it all. LOL. That oughta shut them up.
