GXE appears to be gone as well...

how do you know he sold. He sells and rebalances frequently. I haven't seen it in his top 10 in May or June. Regardless most small caps should do well if oil stays in the 70's

Yes. I am sure we all were wondering about this . Today the Bid and ask is .95. Time to buy more. I feel that Eric is still looking for 1.50 or so. Lots of room to appreciate. Demand has gone up drastically. Even if UAE. Gets its way, there is still  lots of oil needed on market, price I feel will remain high. Ath will pay down their Loan by at least Half, sending price up, 2,50 next year ...more

Nuttal talks about a multi year bull run in oil. He describes a secario where compinies buy back shares and/or initiate dividends. That's not going to happen with Athabasca at $1.50, so I can't see him selling at $1.50.

His thesis is for ATH to be at $1.90 at $70WTI. That's the floor. ATH has some staying power until WTI hits $100

The clue is, when generalists pile in...so, ATH will be at NinePoints until well into next year.
Comment by Chris007 on Jul 09, 2021 11:11am
Indeed, using an EV/CF multiple of 4 against the companies unhedged cash flow potential he came up with a target price of 1.91 @ 70WTI https://twitter.com/ericnuttall/status/1352646378120499205/photo/1 Since then, the company has managed to slightly lower operating breakeven to $43, from $45...so if anything, unhedged cash flow should be even higher than the numbers used by Nuttall Jan 2021 ...more

Wow that post felt like it came out decades ago, crazy how quickly things turn out in the H1 of 2021
Comment by ComradeKomissar on Jul 09, 2021 11:57am
Shiyte! didn't know his multiple was on "unhedged" flow. That changes things...they will be forced to hedge by whomever loans them money. That means $1.9 may be feasible at $100 oil, not $70.
Comment by churchofnutsacc on Jul 09, 2021 12:00pm
If you believe $70 to be the floor, what makes you think they can't hedge at AT LEAST $70? A lot of believe in a $70 floor price of oil.
Comment by Chris007 on Jul 09, 2021 12:04pm
If they are hedging now in H2 2021, for H1 2022, strip prices for the first half of the next year are currently in the upper 60s https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/energy/crude-oil/light-sweet-crude.quotes.html

He added Headwater Exploration and dropped CNQ from his top 10. Something big happening with Headwater?
Comment by masfortuna on Jul 09, 2021 6:03pm
As of last Friday $66 was the hedge...

He always states that he assume no hedges in his calcs, you should try to listen when someone is speaking..............
