Nuttall out is a good thing

So the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Nutall selling all of his shares. I don't think that he is ultimaly who will drive this stock back to it real valuation.

In fact he has often been the selling pressure whenver it does jump up. Pump it on bnn and then selling his shares to dive it back down. Then buy them back again. If you watch the interviews in a row you can see the pattern.

Even the large short position that appeared might be attributed to Eric knowing a bunch of people will dump when he said he sold his shares. A $.10 or $.20 drop on 10 or 20 million shares is a nice quick payday.

The good news is he sold 50 million shares and the price really did not drop that much. Also someone out there is quietly accumulating shares in th $1.20 - $1.30 range for some purpose. Lets hope they have the resources to drive it up double or triple when they are ready. At $90 oil, ATH (even with the crazy recent multiples) should be a $3 stock. At $100 oil, would be an impressive feat to keep holding it at these levels.

Earings in March should be a serious inflection point. Eventually, there is just to much free cash flow to keep playing these games.

Realistically it's not a good thing. Having a cheerleader on tv doesn't hurt when he has the top performing fund in the world. As stated by HIMSELF. But I agree with your point that there is also a very big buyer circling its prey. The basic fundamentals are unchanged by who own the shares and they are spectacular. I didn't buy Ath because of Eric. I bought it before he did. And lower ...more

So if Nutella is back , the share price will go higher because with an another 50 million of share  bought by Nutella and we will be close  to the financial stuff and probably a lot of good news will come out.

As someone once famously said, " I'LL BE BACK"

Nuttal is like a double-edged sword.  If you buy his picks you could stand to benefit from  an initial pop BUT when he sells and then says that at the moment he feels he has better places to put his money, you get clobbered.  Nothing changed with ath from last week at 1.36... Still see this at $2.00 sometime this year.

Exactly. Athabasca should rebound soon though  we all should be thankful though

He'll be back in later this year around 2.25 when his target will be $4.50 using $80 oil and 0 net debt. Unless it's taken out before then.

Couldn't agree more with both of you (Maxmoe & masfortuna). Good comments. He sold Nuvista at $2+ last spring. Then it ripped and he was back in at $4 - $5 late summer, early fall. ATH is NO different. At $80+ WTI this is easily a $2 stock at some point in 2022.  One other point is his Fund is now approaching $1B and he likes a concentrated 12-15 name portfolio, by definiton he must ...more

True, he does have to go up market, but the market cap of each holding has gone up as much or more than his fund. Ath from 0.18 to 1.25 market cap has gone from about 100 million to almost 700 million. If it doubles again before he buys back in, the market cap will be about 1.3 Billion. With a B. No longer a "small cap". Same with Nva. It had a market cap around 200 million end of 2020 ...more

Exactly. As an fyi, I have held Obe from the $2.20 range which Nuttal refuses to consider.  In the last 4 weeks, it has doubled.  I sold 3/4 of my position at this point and have been building my position here. Nuttal has an effect on sp, but he is not the only one you should listen to. GL!

Exactly , its a good sign that market could absorb the 50million sold by Eric plus the 35 million short without dropping below 1.18$ . This is like a coiled spring and I expect a 50% gain from current levels which will propel us above 2$
