Meg Energy and Athabasca oil..

Were they not considered a few years ago best option to merge?
 

So any chance of a friendly takeover of Athabasca by Meg or will it be a shotgun wedding with another company interested?

I was thinking this also. Meg has been acting strangely also, these last couple trading days. Great point!!

Anyone know why the Energy Income Fund now holds MEG?  It isn't a dividend paying company.  I noticed it in the holdings as of Dec 30.  ATH will eventually announce shareholder return strategy.  Am I reading too much into this?
