My philosophy is once a winner always a winner. Once a loser always a loser. BTE is underperforming because of debt and management poor decisions. ATH is doing well precisely because of opposite factors. We have the best balance sheet in the patch and the most competent management. So good luck with your decision. You wont see a mass exodus of ATH investors to BTE anytime soon.

ATH net cash $155M BTE net debt $2.824 BILLION If you are going to own energy company with billions in debt then why not own the very best, the top guns like SU, CVE, CNQ with huge upside torque to higher oil price. At the very least, some also have refinery profits from diversified assets, even in a lower oil price cycle.

ATH is fully valued here. Almost everything else is severely undervalued. The numbers don't lie. Best balance sheet in the patch? HWX and it's not even close.

??? HWX spending $70M capex/qtr ATH spending less than half that to maintain double the production. What is HWX net cash balance?

I agree with you, "The numbers dont lie". So whats your back up to any of these comments? You must have some rationale behind them?

Did you mean BTE at $3 (not $4)? I think ATH will be acquired soon (MEG?) at $6-8/share. BTE is definitely undervalued (as is SGY, TVE and others).

Likely a Canada US price thing $3 US $4 CDN That's the current BTE price +/- a few pennies

Yes - sorry about that confusion. Eventually the market is going to recognize how cheap Canadian mid-cap oil&gas stocks are. The bargain of the century right now. TMX coming online will definitely help. Lots of M&A in 2024 I predict.
