Oil glut, oil shortage, oil sanctions, oil tariffs, ....all these ebb and flow. At the end of it all, ATH seems like the best oil investment I can find. The buybacks are the bomb for shorty. If trump is going to self destruct, I don't know what sector is a haven, but the world needs energy

I like January to June for Oily Stocks every year no matter what Wingnut is in Charge,   If your worried about Oil headed back to the 60's where it just was well it dont bother me we were just there, but what if Trump sends Oil North of 80 or 90 or 100 and your sitting in "CASH" on the sidelines.   I know what i am going to do!!!   Enjoy The Ride!!!

Drill baby drill? Before this political grandstanding causes you concern know this. There will be no drilling if oil companies follow his directive and ratchet up production to the point energy prices drop substantially. They won't do it. They won't drill unless they make money. Omg, I'm psychic? I just saw Lyle stein on BNN say almost the same thing I just posted. I may not share his strong preference for nat gas. I like both. Gas story sounds nicer, but then again, Lyle aka "the smile" is a nicer guy than I. He knows all about the gas utility demands in Virginia though. That's where he's from. Very smart, nice guy. One last piece of advice from a grizzled grumpy old man. If you want to raise cash, one strategy I've used often is to sell a bit of everything, rather than try and pick what to sell. If you want your portfolio to go to say 20% cash, and you own, for example 20 stocks, if you try and pick 4 to sell, there's a good chance you'll either end up doing nothing because you still want all ...more
