Deutz.... I actually like your position better than mine on tariff retaliation.  You mention restraint and try to build back the relationship to start. I believe you are correct, that is best approach in dealing with Trump as a start.  Hostility will not get him to back off.  It will take weeks/months to implement them if they are announced, so what is the hurry to respond same day?
