New owner musings

I just took a position in SNC (before its too late!) Thank you Gabriel for your insights. Keep sharing, it never felt like repetition to me.

 

This strikes me as a great opportunity. It's tough to overcome doubts when looking at a trashed, unloved stock, but my confidence stems simply from the sum of the parts. It's cheap. There's a lot of value, some which can be carved out, i.e. toll-road, nuclear, which leads me to...

 

Brookfield.

 

Anyone else thinks this would be a nice target for them ? The 407 would fit in one of their infra funds, the Nuclear would complement their Westinghouse assets, the engineering/construction is something they use and have prior in australia, uk, iirc. Seems to me they could chop and dice it nicely within their footprint and they are bargain hunters with capital and capability.

The match makes a lot of sense and eventually benefit both companies. It has to be organized as such. I think SNC can bring a valuable expertise. As independent engineer advising a major donor government, I was in India a few years ago to assess local capabilities in road recycling, to implement in a neighboring country, and we flew to a place where a major (many 100s km) widening and ...more

You won't believe.. The concession in India is the Varanasi - Aurungabad (198km) is owned by Roadis from Spain.
