WSP up SNC down.

Looks like big money is inflating the price higher for WSP and holding the price down for SNC.
Could it be the time has come for WSp to take a run at SNC and buy them out on the cheap?

...more

WSP probably is waiting for SNC to clean up the messy parts of the company. That said SNC has cleaned up quite nicely lately.

Absolutely Mega. Fact 1: WSP CEO wants to double revenue and earnings.  Fact 2: Main shareholders of both WSP and SNC are the same. Fact 3: SNC needs a name change.  Fact 4: SNC Engineering brings 750m EBITDA + synergies = 850m EBITDA close to doubling WSP's for a fraction.  Fact 5: Most VPs and EVPs at one come from the other.  Fact 6: GoQ will approve this acquisition.

Could happen very easily.  Using simple math WSP could offer one share of WSP for 4 shares of SNC for a value of 170/4= 42.5  or  one share of WSP for 3.5 shares of SNC for a value of 170/3.5= 48.5  .    A value of between 42.5 and 48.5 per share would make most shareholders happy at this point but would it satisfy the big ones like Caisse?  Roughly WSP would end ...more

With SNC you just never know what to expect anymore.   Not sure if this is a conspiracy to diliberately keep the price low for takeover speculation or for other reasons?   Or maybe this truly is a situation where the market wants to see Ian "walk the talk" and enough with the "BS" talk.    Yes some posters here made comments that we have had a good run ...more

SNC, meaning shareholders that own it, employees that run it and clients that feeds it, need a driver like Alexandre L'Heureux with a vision for growth and an unstained track record. An outright acquisition serves all three stakeholders. I would like to stress that the LSTK infra cash flow situation is unacceptable and that it was signed when our CEO was on the helm since he was EVP ...more

The only real problem i see with a potential buyout by WSP is the closing of an important head office in Montreal. I have absolutely no idea how many redudant admin. jobs would be eliminated, but probably hundreds. No governement (especially Legault), would want to be behind such a deal, unless they could convince the public that such a merger is necessary for the futur. By the way, L'Heureux ...more
