Hang in there

I don't normally follow daily price movements but this decline caught my eye obviously...WSP down a couple of dollars as well but not as much percentage wise. I see news today in the Globe about the government covid field hospital contract with SNC and partner but it was not bad news for SNC..I was concerned about this contract a few days ago but no longer....SNC is fulfilling the contract but the provinces have not requested field hospitals because they can't staff them let alone staff their existing hospitals due to staff also getting sick...so field hospital units are in warehouses...The news was actually good for SNC shareholders not taxpayers in that the government has only paid SNC & partner $71 million of the $150 million contract...so more money owed to SNC. We got big bucks coming to us from different streams...I'm holding long term on this one. Yes, stock is manipulated for a takeover no doubt and don't forget management does not care about stock price because their days are numbered with pending takeover. Cheer up...Rookie

Market 2 years 100% Edwards 2 years -20% Thanks Eddy, the Biggest lemon on the market..... Beautifull and remember what Ian Edwards Do..... Good job stupid Eddy.... Take over will be around 40$ everyone will be happy at that price just to get out.

Sure hope so.  Very annoying when there's nothing to justify the drop.  With a purchase off the bottom today this is back to my largest holding.

Hey stuffitnow, I don't think your wrong...probably takeover in $42-$45 range is what we should expect and I think sooner than later.I'm sitting here thinking about this and what I would do if I were head of CDPQ investment arm..2 Quebec based global engineering firms with large British influence in both. Largest shareholder in each but much higher $ investment in WSP based on market price ...more

Could they be setting themselves up for going private ? Why is it that those levels there is no insider trading ? Been told not to trigger suspicion ? Promised a nice golden parachute ?

Hey CrashonTrees, I guess anything is possible...may be a good option for them with less reporting requirements etc..i don't know....is that type of ownership in the Caisse wheelhouse? I don't know. I do know some very large companies have gone private over the years for various reasons however many go public again a few years later when they can get top IPO dollar in a raging bull market ...more

Comment by finalstep on Jan 16, 2022 8:25pm
