Gabriel, thank you for all the excellent informative posts! Glad to see that SNC-Atkins are involved in the Small Reactor design....most of these SMR's are only concepts around the world...but the future is bright for these light water reactors.. I live in Whitby Ontario smack in between both Pickering and Darlington reactors. A few of my neighbours are big wigs at OPG...so we talk....they ...more

Thank you Rookie for this valuable insight. I have read some papers on the Candu (fission) reactor and I think this is clearly not the end of it for larger reactors and yes we are also playing a role with the Rolls-Royce SMR in the UK. GoCan.needs to wake up and heavily invest in re-building our nuclear capabilities by funding SNC's research up to 80% of its cost, considering this ...more
