This isn't an announcement saying AVL has asked for the $300M. If they did and government will definitely most likely give it to them. Stock will see a boost from that alone.

AVL is best positioned to receive a good chunk of that fund . It has  good properties full of proven potential , it alreday has the processing plant in place at the best loaction  and  they are willing to share the plant with all the other ''little guys'' in the area so they can have their ore processed too... Nick - I assume (and to clrify) The plant is not phsycially in place - it is in place with Metso agreeing to partner on the build. They will be using all Metso technology and equipment, so yes, in essence the plant is in place. Assuming Metso will be majority holder of the refinery, they would also have the funds to build the majority of it. If gov't does kick, there may be little to no need

Ok, I'll bite and argue that one - Look at what Metso does in the lithium space - you guessed it, build and maintain plants. Why would a comany with a 7.5B maket cap pay someone interest to fund the building of their own plant? Not likely -  look what other lithium players have done (Stellantis/vw)and been succesful at.  If they commit to 700M, the ask from Goverment would be 300M? (

Hey KIM__I have a cousin in the SUOMI Head Office__He let me know that it would be VERY UNUSUAL for METSO to take Equity or Give Loans for the Constructlion of the TBay Plant Any financing of Metso Equipment, Technology, etc would be on a normal lender business basis

Good to know, curious if this partnership makes it different or not? I thought I overheard Scott mention differently. Either way, with today's news though I think we both put cart before the horse... let's get through 2024, then we can get a beer and debate.
