Looks like artis is doing the NCIB for D.UN.   I think Artis has intentions to buy out Cooper one day, and effectively get this REIT via private shares for a large discount ,and Coopers shares for a slight discount

No. This is stupidity. We might realize 15$ in few years when interest rates go down but right missing opportunity to buy back shares at a discount

Sandpiper bought some Dream shares right before COVID , got margin call and forced to sell  with loss. Now Samir try to do again with shareholders money, just  for his ego.

I'm assuming over 3-5 years they want to fully own it and at a nice discount, like they took out Cominar.  Cooper may even cash in at $28ish
