Is Artis looking at a US/CDN split up?

Just looking at yesterday's PR and wondering alound if hiring Norton Rose is a signal they are thinking about a split along country lines.  The reit is about 55% US assets.  Mostly industrial (very liquid) and office in secondary US cities (more dificult).

Curius to know where the unsoliticed buying inbounds have been coming from.  US?

Have not seen this done before but you never know.

They were asked on the CC about spliting into pure play REITS...whether they can standlone, he didnt think they could. Also old Artis also wanted to spin retail.  He doesnt like this strategy, will achieve NOTHING in closing the gap actually.  You would need a new management team to run the new REIT.  You would need to split it up to SELL it only.
