When inflation goes down its "rate hikes are working" when inflation goes back up "oh well, head scratcher, maybe not high enough".   feds cant even prove a correlation between hikes and cpi data

Hi Gary, fiscal deficits in the United States is going to be the major driver for higher inflation. It is currently offset by bank lending, also known as Bank credit or money printing is currently non existent.  Janet Yellen is financing the government deficit from the reverse repo facility as money is leaving money market funds and purchasing short term collateral; I.e t bills from the ...more

...............and with election year starting, spending cuts are only things talked about, spending will increase exponentially.
